TREKKING 101 LLACS (101 lakes - English)

The route of the 101 LLACS (101 lakes) runs through the Madriu Valley, the Pessons Circus, the Llosa Valley and the Llacs de la Pera Circus, straddling the south of Andorra and the highest peaks of the Cerdanya.

This is the area of the Eastern Pyrenees with the highest concentration of lakes, fruit of the great glacial activity that occurred during the ice ages of the Quaternary era.

Of a first order landscape variety and with very high summits that surpass the 2,900 meters of height, the RUTA DE LOS 101 LLACS (101 lakes) frames in a route of first order at the level of the Pyrenees. With a great variety of flora and fauna.

The common denominator of the route is that every day and we will find many lakes and lagoons, all of them a luminous blue that always form a great contrast with the lofty summits that surround them.

The Madriu Valley - Perafita - Claror was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2004.
