Playing with the words of the Serra de Port del Comte itself, the VOLTA COMTEDELPORT is a 4-day circular route (possible to reduce it to three) that surrounds this entire vast massif of the Pre-Pyrenees and that allows us to have a varied knowledge of the valleys and peaks of these lands.
We will go counterclockwise and start the small neighborhood of Canalda houses. The first stage following the G.R. 1. First we pass under the imposing Canalda rock and later we go under the cinches of the Oden Castle to later arrive in the vicinity of Cambrils where we will find the small red-walled hotel in Ca l'Agustí. It is essential to visit the Salí de Cambrils, recently restored.
On the second day we will cross the Alinyà mountain. Solitary and wild place where there are. The panoramic views This second day will surely be the star stage of the Comtedelport tour, due to its great variety of scenery. In autumn the deciduous colors and the abundant mushrooms give it an incomparable charm. In spring we will find all the colors of green. In summer it may be a little too hot and in winter, the cold and the clean colors of the air will give the landscape an extra plus of solitude and melancholy. We will pass under the curious and arched Roca de la Pena to climb the Rassa dels Acens to the haughty Collades and we will do at the not inconsiderable height of 1,940 meters, in the Refugi de l'Arp, where we can enjoy the sunsets unparalleled in the entire Cordillera.
The third day is the day of the high mountains and from tops. We will climb the undulating peaks of Tosa Pelada and Pedró dels Quatre Batlles, the roof of the route, the Sierra and the Solsonés region with its 2,388 meters high. We will continue south to reach the other end of the mountain range, previously passing through Prat de Bacies and climbing the panoramic summit of Puig de las Morreres, with an incredibly aerial panoramic view over central Catalonia. We will descend to the urbanization of the alpine ski slopes of Port del Comte and from here, although steeply and directly, we lose height to just under 800 meters where we find the Morunys campsite and specifically the Torre Baró hostel where We will do the third and last night.
On the fourth and last day we close the circle, climbing an emblematic local summit such as El Codó, 1,528 meters high, and we will do it along a little-known and quite attractive path. We are talking about the so-called Canaletas route. Previously we will have visited Sant Llorenç de Morunys and in the hermitage of Sant Serní del Grau. Finally we pass through Coll de Jou or de la Comarca, where we cross the road and find an abundant water source, to conclude the circle again by G.R. 1 with one last surprise: the Perdiu waterfall and the majestic elm forests near Canalda, the end of the journey.
